And my first encounter with the sunshade was at an exhibition and I did think to myself, “That apparel of beauty must go no further than my pink gingham frock”. And when Aunt bought it for me, she couldn’t help commenting on what she still lovingly repeats, “Goodness! the sparkle of her eyes, the glow of her cheeks, the sheen of her falling hair couldn’t go unnoticed in the all-conquering charm of the pink sparkle”
