Arisi Upma Premix

Arisi upma is a very simple and traditional tiffen variety, most of the Brahmin houses will do this tiffen as breakfast or dinner . They use Bronze vessel (Vengala panai) to make this Arisi upma. It will be drooling to eat the slightly burnt layer on the bottom of the bronze pan. But nowadays for the fast tract process of cooking this upma in the pressure cooker. We can have this as upma with coconut chutney or  we can make oval shaped kozhukattai and again steam cook the upma and serve as Upma Kozhukattai also.

Amma's Kai pakkuvam premix is made using Raw rice, toor dal, pepper along with tempering ingredients.
So stop worrying about the process and taste, just for 1 cup premix with 2.5 cup water boil the water with 2 tspn oil and salt as per taste add 1 cup upma mix into boiled water cover it with a lid. Keep 5 to 10mnts add some coconut oil for enhance the upma mix more tasty.
